65 Years is a long long time!
Saturday night we celebrated my parents 65th Wedding Anniversary. They were married on April 21, 1945...just as soon as my Dad came home from WWII. They had a romance that took them from a chance meeting on the Boblo Boat to the ravages of World War II. They didn't have much money, but they took the leap. At their Anniversary Celebration we asked them for their advice for a long and lasting marriage. Mom said.."Never go to bed angry".. and when going through hard times "think...will this really matter in 10 years?" Well, we are blessed by their example. When committments are broken at the drop of a hat these days, our parents took theirs very seriously. Both of them came from "broken" homes. They wanted better for their children. Words cannot express what their legacy means to me.
